Orange SPV E100 slight problem

Hi all,

My brother upgraded his phone recently and gave me his spv e100 one(1st mobile i've ever had)..I've noticed a slight problem with games on it..I tried the eclipse fw demo and a few others(installed onto my 32mb mmc card from my nokia ngage(formated 1st)..Every 20-40 secs at random times the games seem to stutter for about a second or so(seems to go jerky briefly)..The sound is never affected it's just the action stutters briefly..It's almost like something is running in the background which is stuttering the game occasionaly but i have no idea what it is.

I have the newest 161 rom update and i have disabled every task running to free up all the available memory but that doesn't make a difference.

In fact i can't see what else i can try so is this a fault with the orange spv e100's? I can't believe it would be released like this(even if games are not it's main selling point)

Anyone got one of these phones who has noticed the same thing?

Anyone got any other suggestions i can try?

How much software is installed in the phone's internal memory? as this can slow the phone down quite a bit...

If there isn't much free space left on the phone's memory then a hard reset may be the best bet to clear out all the junk and return the phone to it's out-of-the-box state :)

And then install everything to the Storage Card, also get Task manager to auit all running apps :lol:

Beware you do lose everything when doing a hard reset so backup contacts etc., i recommend Sprite Backup for this :lol:
