Same idiot, another question...

Been trying all afternoon to hook up with ActiveSync.

Can anyone tell me whether my username is my email name or the one that appears when Outlook starts up?, similarly is my password my ISP provider password, or just the one that unlocks my PC?

And while we're at it, where do I find my Domain name and my Server name?

The people at Orange don't know, can anyone out there do better?

Thanks all.

Are you trying to connect to the internet through your phone? The post doesn't make sense. Tell us what you are trying to do

No, just set up a connection so I can transfer contacts from Outlook and vice-versa.

As long as you have installed activsync before plugging the

phone into the pc you do not need any of the information

above. All you have to do is start activsync , plug in your phone and create a partnership, and then you are away :)

I try this but I keep getting an error message which asks me to verify I have network coverage. And if that means can I make a phone call, well yes I can.

Sounds like you're trying to send/receive e-mail. You don't need to do that - if you've set up ActiveSync to sync your Inbox, that's what it'll do when you connect it.

Maybe you are setup to synch remotely?

Disconnect phone from USB cable.

On the phone menu go to Settings-Activesync

Menu-Options-PC settings

Make sure the 'Include PC sync remotely' is not ticked
