MS Messenger

Hi guys

I've looked at a few MSM threads in the forum, but none have really clarified to me exactly how MSM works on a SPV. I have yet to recieve mine so you'll have to forgive me if this is a dumb question

I would like to be able to log into MSM, place the phone on standby (presumably this will save power and GPRS charges?) and then be notified if a buddy messages me.

Is this possible? Will I be charged GPRS data fee's for the entire MSM session (even when the SPV is on standby) or only for any actual data I send and recieve? I guess what I mean by this is how much are the small packets of data being sent to and from MSM even when not actualy in use (this is how I assume it works) gonna cost me. I'd like to be available all the time but am not prepared to do this if it would cost too much.

One last thing, can you assign unique sounds to MSM? (i.e. when you recieve a message, Yoda announces it via an mp3/WAV file)

Also - Is it possible to sync MSM contacts with the SPV?

Hi, There have been a couple of postings about the data sent and recieved when MSN is on, at the moment it's not a problem as no one seems to be paying for anything other than a bundle, but we will have to wait and see what happens when that offer finishes,

You get all your contacts on MSN because your contact list is stored on MSN server not on your PC or phone
