Guest DCDeacon Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 I haven't been able to find an answer to this question anywhere else, so I thought I'd try here. When I synch my MPX200 with Outlook using the latest version of ActiveSync (3.7.1 Build3244) something strange happens with my email. The first time I synch, after I've downloaded all me email and gone through messages, I will have maybe 10 new messages in my InBox but ActiveSync tells me there are 700+ messages to sync and it takes up to 10 minutes for it to go through an update all these messages. Then, after it does that it'll sync again and say there are several hundred more, and after that it's fine. It appears to me that it's including all of the emails that went into my Deleted Items folder in the initial sync (all the spam, junk mail, etc), and then it's getting rid of them after the initial sync. Any idea if that's what's happening or how to stop this? It's really annoying.

A friend of mine had a similar problem when synching his Dell Axim with Outlook on his PC - ACTIVESYNC would say there were hundreds of things to synch, attempt to synch them and then time out with an error message. The problem was overcome by: 1. Hard Reset of the Dell Axim 2. Deleting original partnership with the PC and setting up a new one. Just make sure you back up any stuff you want to keep on your phone before resetting it. Over to you. Good Luck
