Color Depths on Smartphone

Anyone have a utility to read/test the color depth on Smarpthones?

It's 65k or 16bit on the SPV/e100/e200 and MPX200 (those are the one's i'm sure of, there maybe more).

I don't know if there are any utilities to read/test it?

I've noticed, while trying to take a picture and then dropping back to the home screen, sometimes it looks like it's only in 256 colours for a few seconds.
