Guest dstoddar Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Bought a used MPX. Battery won't charge, but everything else with the USB cable/plug on the phone. Anyone else have this problem? Ideas on how to fix w/o sending phone back? Tips on getting phone replaced under warranty (unlocked, not AT&T)? Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 As you bought the phone secondhand it will be unlikely you have a warranty unless you bought it from a shop, as warranties are normally non transferable. There have been faulty batteries posted about before so you may need to get a replacement :? Are you using the correct USB cable? the connector on the phone end needs to be a 5 pin
Guest dstoddar Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Not the battery-I've used the other one. Definately the right connectors. Other potential causes??
Guest squall Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 anything from faulty pins on the phone and battery to a faulty charger. you really need to do some fault finding. watch the led on the phone and wiggle the charge and plug etc.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 watch the led on the phone He would if there was one on the MPX200 :D ](*,) Unless you ment to say the LCD display as this shows a progress bar on the charger symbol, otherwise have a look at the main display to see if that shows it's charging. Apart from the charger try charging via the usb on your PC this way it would provedisprove a faulty charger.
