E100 won't turn off

Got an SPV-E100 and its started doing a weird thing recently.

When I try and power it off, it gets to the sunset screen and then just sits their indefinitely. The only way to turn it off is to remove the battery. I've done a hard reset but its still doing it.

Has anyone else seen this or got any ideas? I tend to turn it off at night as I don't need to be contactable and it helps save the battery life.

Thanks

Sounds like somwthing you are installing is corrupting the

phone's registery. I would do a Hard Reset again and test

by installing one app at a time to see when the problem

happens.

I haven't actually installed any applications since I did the hard reset. All I've done is copied a home screen and background to the phone. I was surprised that the hard reset didn't fix it which is making me suspect its a hardware problem.

Was it the same homescreen as you had previously?

if so that could be your problem.

Hmm - it was. However, the homescreen hasn't changed in several months and it only started exhiting the problem much more recently.

I suppose I could hard reset again and then see if it does it before making any changes at all - I didn't test this.

If redoing the hard reset doesn't work try rerunning the 1.6 update, what completely cleans the rom. Should sort prob.
