Guest joelmb Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Hi Doug. I received my E200 in the last few days and also had an absolute knightmare trying to get it to speak to bt / active sync. I eventually got it working last night but it was a case of contant fiddling with settings so can't tell you exactly what I did :D ...However, the last thing I recall I tried was having created the BT port on pc, double click it and note what com port and make sure this is the same in activesync (obvious part). then leave this com port as it is. then, on phone, I had to bond the devices again, although I thought it was already bonded, by clicking: Settings>Bluetooth>menu>bonded devices>menu>new... wait for pc to show up (takes a few moments) and select it>add>enter pin (one youve used before, or if not, make one up!). you may have to re-enter same pin on pc. then on phone go active sync and connect via bluetooth. i dunno if any of this will help, just trying to recall what i last did! good luck!
Guest dougsdir Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 aaaaaggggghhhh, no joy at all, its going back , bought it from ebuyer so i think i can get me money back and buy a good one like a Linksys with antenna so hopefully it will give me better coverage. i tried to beam a file using Smart Explorer and that failed too so i think it might be BT related
Guest joelmb Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 i have the ebuyer 'origo' dongle which is now working fine, if this is the same as yours, it works eventually, unless just yours is dodgy of course. but given that bluetooth and activesync is so tempramental with the e200 its probably that!
Guest dougsdir Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Its the MSI PC2PC Blutooth transceiving key i have Ive notice ebuyer are not selling it anymore I couldnt find your origo one on ebuyer
Guest joelmb Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I don't think they name it, at least they didnt when i bought it. It was the 'ebuyer 100m bluetooth dondle' cost around £15-£20. Works well.
