Cleartype (Qtek update)

I wonder how to remove Cleartype on new Qtek update.

I use Qtek 8080 unlocked.

I dont want to have some "damages" on my unlocked "swedish" Qtek 8080.

the info on that site will allow you to turn of cleartype on your phone. read the full thing.

sorry mate, which site do you mean! i read the posts you poste link for, but i understood that is only for Orange E200.

on thta site i found this:

I have tried this shell config on my Qtek 8080 updated with swedish update but i couldnot make the cleartype to off. Anybody got to make off the cleartype on swedish update please let me know how???

To turn off Cleartype, you need to remove some registry entries.

Remove the following key, and all values under it: HKLMSYSTEMGDICleartype

If you know how to use RapiConfig, here is an input XML that should work:

hello dear

Could you please explain me how to use RapiConfig solution becasue the i could not delete the gdi or cleartype value in the registery. Its not allwoed and i think therefor shell config tool does not work on qtek. Please help me how i can use RapiConfig to take off the cleartype option.

Hello dear

It worked now i understood i used the program you told me but there is one problem left that cleartype is off now onlyfrom the homescreen when i go to start menu i have still cleartype enable there and when i start smartexplorer its also enabled there

Any solution for that ?

Cleartype off only on home page? That is strange. The registry I gave you comes straight from Microsoft. There is another registry key to control Cleartype in Internet Explorer. That might be the one causing your "problem". I dont have it with me now... maybe if I find it later.
