Guest dnavarro77 Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 On another site there is a guy (named SuperDave) that has created an app for the Samsung i700 that speeds up the cpu and other tweaks for PPC OS. I hear his app is based off an open source app that is floating around. Does anybody have any experience with any of these programs for the smartphone? Anyone think a conversion to the Smartphone OS is worth it if not? Here is a link to the discussion and to the Pocket PC versions... http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthr...hlight=autostep Thx. Guest dnavarro77 Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 BTW, I figured this might interest gamers the most since emulators and games can benefit the most from this....
Guest ultimasnake Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 well if the chipset of the samsung i700 is the same as an spv this can be nice.. but i am not sure about this... else it might be i700 specific :S
Guest midnight Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 i700 is xscale, same as the mitac, which already has an overclocker
Guest dnavarro77 Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 I use a Samsung i600 (XScale) and used the XScale OverClock Utility (used on Mitacs), but it won't install because it says my phone isn't decerted. However, my phone has had the samsung registry fix done already. I have a feeling I am going to have to wait for the Smartphone 2003 Update to get this to install. I can't wait to try though. D
