Guest bladerun Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Hello! I found a program called "SmartPhone Turbo" at http://www.novomobile.com/ (free to download as it is a beta). It should overclock the phone processor up to 300MHz... Do you know something about it? It is safe? (I know they say that it CANNOT damage your phone, but... ) BladeRun
Guest Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I've been using the beta for a couple of weeks now on my 8390, and I haven't see any ill effects. From what I understand, this chip is built to run around 400mhz, so clocking it up to 300 shouldn't be pushing this particular chip.
Guest the bishop Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 is the performance noticably faster?
Guest Zim Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Yep u def notice the difference.... menus load faster, games adnd video cature improves aswell the speed is the best thing about this phone... "Z"
Guest the bishop Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 i have it on there now, and it works great. hey two things -- one, when i turn my phone off, it defaults the outside clock to analog, can i save it to digital? 2nd - is there a way to make this program auto load w/o me having to go in and select it to run. sorta like the run dir in the normal windows reg?
Guest Zim Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 1) it doesnt do that on mine, clock remains the same. 2) do u really want it on all the time, battery life gonna suck man.. "Z"
Guest the bishop Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 odd ... wonder why my clock changes back. damn the luck. guess not, I'll just do it manually. :D
Guest pwest13 Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 my outer clock always reverts back to analogue as well. Annoying indeed
Guest ashlie_r88 Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 So does mine, Any1 no why or how to change it?
