Guest sovenok Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Guys, I've read in the forum that some of users had a SUDDEN sim failure. And I am so naive to think that this CRAP happens only to me. Well NO!!! My MPX200 losses sIm all of a sudden and don't even tries to pick up a signal back. IT happens when i am in NO coverage zone and comming back and SOMETIMES just by itself ( I mean no movements in good coverage zone ). MPX 200 is the best looking and future packed phone that gives you freedom of windows. BUT IT IS " WINDOWS POWERED " which means you get CRAP!!! and constant headache. BILL Gates will burn in HELL and Enjoy PARADISE for this
Guest scott2eyes Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Try checking that the little tabs that hold the SIM card in place are there, and the SIM isn't coming loose. Chances are that a SIM error is a hardware problem rather than anything to do with the software...
Guest beauabroad Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Had the same exact thing happen to me. Got off the phone with someone, then all of the sudden lost service, and my phone started tweaking out. Restarted it a few times then finally did a hard reset, then it showed warnings that the SIM card was not being read properly. I took out the battery and SIM card numerous times with no luck. I was on the phone with tech support, and they had no clue, and then i turned on my phone and BAM! it started up, all normal as if nothing had happened. So I guess my advice would be to just turn it off, and charge it up for a few hours or so, then give it a shot.
