Qtek8080: Strange error - any confirmations ?

Hi,

had a strange failure on my Qtek8080.

Upon surfing in the internet the IE suddenly closed down and GPRS connection was gone (couldn't find any page anymore).

Strange, because HipFTP could log in !

I also realized that Xbar2 now has invoked itself asking me for the registration code (which I had entered long ago !!!!!)

Also now in Settings | Remove Programs there were now no entries any more as if I had not installed any programs.

(The programs I had installed still worked however.)

And I could no longer invoke Settings | Power Management.

So I made a Restore using Sprite Backup and my recent Backup Binary.

But still no change: Power Management couldn't be invoked and no programs to be de-installed in "Remove Programs"...

I now made a Hard Reset and tried the Restore once again.

Same as before.

Question to the forum:

Is it normal that after a restore all entries in "Remove Programs" are lost ?

If not so: How could that have happened ? (How could have happened the scenery I just descibed ?)

And how can the "Remove Programs" section be restored / repaired again ?

I'm grateful for every advice !
