Hi:

I have been using a Samsung i600-Verizon for about 6 months. Everything has been good. All of a sudden the phone will longer allow me to install applications - the application seems to begin to install on the phone and then about half way through the screen goes back to the home screen, without completing the install.

Any ideas how to remedy this ?

Thanks for your help!

Check the amount of free physical memory you have available, normally this is the main cause of the problem you have. A quick reboot of the phone can fix this.

When installing apps have you been installing them to the phone or the storage card? as the IPSM could also be getting a bit full.

Something else to check is in SettingsHomescreen change

the Time out to never.

Another possibility is to explore the phone and go to

IPSMWindowsAppMgrInstall and delete anything you find there.

It may be possible that you have a failed install but the main indication of this is would be that ever time you install any app

the phone would show to be installing the initial app it failed on initially.

Thanks for the advice.

Lots of free memory---75% available.

For some reason this folder does not exist on the phone and of course I cannot see the contents on the PC file explorer ? IPSMWindowsAppMgrInstall

I also adjusted the settings from the timeout for the homescreen.

Still nothing working :D

*UPDATE*

Looked like clearing the AppMgr folder out did the trick. Luckily the phone let me install only one application an Explorer (Resco) so I could finally access the files.

Thanks for the aid!!!!
