Guest midnight Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Errr, things I know of (i'll just mention the Smartphone improvements, Not PocketPC).... Support for High Resolution displays (240 x 320) When in 240 x 320 there are 9 items to the Start Menu list (with 0 being next) Better Bluetooth Support Windows logo on Start Menu New Eggtimer errr, and i think thats about it (besides several bug fixes)
Guest Pagemakers Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 How about a delete all option for the inbox? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 You know, i have to admit i didn't notice this feature until a few weeks ago and forgot about it until i saw what you have just said Pagemakers. You can remove all SMS from ANY folder in one go. Simply go to your inbox, click Menu > folders, and move to the folder you want to empty, then click Menu > Remove all SMS. Like i say this was new to me a few weeks back, i've been a little out of the loop this year so sorry if it's old news!
Guest Pagemakers Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 How about delete all email? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Not directly, but you can by changing from remote sync to activesync in your email settings (or vice versa) and you'll get a prompt to remove all emails.
Guest Pagemakers Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Hmm shame my most longed for feature. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Like i say this was new to me a few weeks back, i've been a little out of the loop this year so sorry if it's old news! Very old m8  Let you off this time :D :D
Guest roozbeh Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 very little improvments then..... but as i know only of 2002 is browser soppurt frames and animated gifs?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 You could try Thunderhawk or something similar. From what i've been able to find out the major improvements in SE for Smartphone is support for qVGA displays and the addition of .NET CF 1.1 Service pack 1. So nothing major on the end user side (bar the odd little Windows icon on the Start button :D )
Guest bolasz Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 You can remove all SMS from ANY folder in one go.You don't need SE for that just try the new imate rom (Space Maker)! How about delete all email? As well. :D
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 I meant you can do that after the last Orange 2002 update (when i noticed).
Guest Pagemakers Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 Does IE in SE support frames? If 'no', is there any smartphone browser that does?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 You could try Thunderhawk or something similar...
Guest jimmymacv Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 Does that mean that the MPX220 if it has SE will it have qVGA resolution?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 No, there are no announced QVGA Smartphones, despite the fact the MPx220, Sagem S7 and C500 are all SE. It is supported, not mandated. P
