Internet connectivity issue

Hi,

just got my E100 smartphone and was amazed at how intuitive the UI is once u get used to it. my only problem seems to be that i cant connect to the internet. the previous owner couldnt remember if they had connected to it either. the machine is happy to send calls or texts, but says there is an error and that the call request failed, or something along those lines.

ife checked that its on auto detection and on gprs, but no luck.

Is there anything that i need to do, i.e register the internet or something like that?

and as another totally different side note, i purchased my E100 with some scratches around the screen plastic (not the acutall screen). now i want to know, apart from the info shown on this website, has anyone attempted a respray of the E100, and what problems if any, did they face?

Welcome to the site mate :D

You need to register the SIM for data with Orange Customer Services first I think but after that...

For GPRS internet connection I would recommend going to the Orange site and getting the settings sent to your phone directly.

The first time you try to connect your phone to the internet it can take ages (month perhaps) to log you in to the mainframe. You just have to keep at it. :evil:

Try to log onto Orange World first as this is the most likely to let you in first.

Can be the same with Orange email.... :roll:

Several people have resprayed their phones. As well as the posts on this site I would take a look at coolsmartphone.com as I remember he was the first I heard do it.
