Guest junk_bay Posted June 13, 2004 Report Posted June 13, 2004 I have just got an XPhone (E200) and on pressing the camera button I get >Unable to switch to preview mode. >Failed to set up the camera device. Any ideas anyone?
Guest junk_bay Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Also I can't find T9 when I scroll through the various input methods using the asterisk * key. Help!
Guest squall Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 the camera could be a driver issue, and i think a hard reset may be required (assuming its not a hardware fault) try holding the * key to access t9
Guest squall Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 you holding hte * button, not just pressing yeah?
Guest junk_bay Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 Yep, holding it 'til the cows come home but no T9. I did a clear storage recently which I suspect cleared out the T9. I see from the website that the Chinese version (which I have) is prone to do this and there is a downloadable version of T9.
Guest o2xphone Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 I have this problem for my Camera, Does anyone know a solution for this problem? Cause by hard reset it's not fixed.

Cause by hard reset it's not fixed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I get this when I try to take a picture of my basement flower garden (when it's 3 degrees F outside and everything's covered with ice, you grow 'em in the basement) at 640x480 and there are a number of bright differently colored flowers in the frame. If I bring it in to get just one or two or back it way out so they don't occupy so much of the frame, no problem. Look at it on the bright side....at least on the E200 it just doesn't take the picture. On the mitac 8390, the entire phone locks up rock solid and you have to yank the battery to get it working again. http://www.phlog.net/user/mgamber
