Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Use wsp: instead of http: P
Guest OKrinke Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 No, THANKS, but thats the same. Also only internt not wap pages.... OTHER IDEAS??? Thanks Oliver
Guest madu Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Try turning off 'Automatically Detect Settings' in IE>Menu>Options>Connection And also make sure that in Settings>Data Connections>Edit>Orange WAP connects to: WAP Network, not the internet.. (not 100% sure on this one, worth try..)
Guest OKrinke Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 thanks, but its not working :-(
Guest jacoch Posted December 25, 2002 Report Posted December 25, 2002 I remember having read somewhere that web sites that do automatic detection of the browser sees SPV as standard IE and thus route it to the www pages. You maybe have to enter the page name in the URL.
Guest OKrinke Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 what do you mean? for example: http//wap.bahn.de, I did that, but........ :D
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 If you were trying to go to wap.bahn.de, you should go to: wsp://wap.bahn.de, or you will be routed to the web page. P
Guest jacoch Posted December 26, 2002 Report Posted December 26, 2002 I just tried your web site. The problem is that the default page checks the browser. If it's not a known wap browser, an error page is displayed. As IE from SPV reports itself as IE, the server thinks it's a standard browser and display the error message. As the default page link is not given, the only chance for you is to ask their webmaster for the link to the main page without going through the test page (something like wap.bahn.de/main.asp). If each page do the browser check, no chance for you. The only choice you have is to browse their web site using the www site. Hope it helps.
