use phone without sim?

Is it possible to use my SPV without the sim card. I have lost my sim :oops: , but now waiting upgrade to arrive (2 weeks) So can I use it like a PDA :?: (no calls)

It can be possible on some phones but what I do on my

sparetest phones is use an old obsolete SIM.

Yes possible. :D

Here's how to do it. (tested on Smart Amazing Phone, e100)

1) Get a SIM card (same service provider as your phone).

2) Insert SIM card then turn on the phone.

3) Go to quick menu (power button) then turn the radio off (airplane mode off).

4) Power OFF phone.

5) Remove SIM card then POWER ON phone.

I must have been tired when I posted last night a I forgot to

mention turning radio off :oops: cheers pzee for adding that.

I have encountered it where the above will not work :?

This will also work on the 1.6 update :D
