Orange GPRS Problems

Hi

Is anyone having problems with GPRS on Orange at the moment?

I have an MPX200 and have had problems making a gprs connection since saturday morning.

I've checked my settings and they seem ok, Ive done a Hard Reset but that didnt make any difference.

When I try to connect using internet explorer I simply get "The page you are looking for cannot be found", and cannot connect using MSN messenger.

Or rather thats most of the time...

once or twice yesterday I managed to download a page fine... and after my Hard Reset I was able to download my files from the Orange Backup utility late on the evening.

A friend had the same problem on his SPV earlier today too... so could it just be that theres a problem with Orange at the moment?

Too many people using gprs to check the footie results maybe?

Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

you tried phoning orange? If your friend is having problems with his SPV it sounds like the local Transmitter may be having problems, but only orange would be able to confirm.

my gprs has been acting up over the past few days as well

it will connect to my server to check email but every website i goto i get 404's :D

i think its either my phone needs _another_ hard reset or oranges proxy server has blown up again

when I have GPRS probs, I normally power down and remove the batt. then give it a min, then try again. Normally solves my GPRS probs

Hi

I had a couple of conversations with data suport yesterday. They talked me through the settings, which were all correct, and then suggested a hard reset.

When that did nothing the second guy I spoke to had a go on his Treo and got the same error message as me, so suggested the network might just be knackered.

Im up near Durham, and he was in Bristol, so I dont think it can be my local transmitter.

I've just tried now and it seems fine, I'm just a bit wary now.
