problem with mio 8390 after synchronization wth outlook

I got my mio 8390 a few days ago. Things work fine until I start to synchronize with contacts and calendar of outlook (not even mails).

What happens is the phone will become slow and sometimes the Contacts button won't work... also the keypad also wouldn't allow me to key in anymore... there is no way I can dial out.

I would then need to hard-reset it and again the phone will work fine until I load the outlook stuff on again. sometimes it happens immediately after synchronization and sometimes it happens after a while.

hmmmmm, that is an awkard problem and one very significant to any smartphone, as that is what smartphones are what to be about, syncing on the move etc...

Things to suggest are most updated Active Sync see www.coolsmartphone.com for the download.

Also did you install everything on the supplied CD that came with your phone? Most recent Outlook etc..

This advice is very basic, but most effective most times.

I know some problems occur if u install them the wrong way around but not normally making the buttons malfunction.

An awkard problem, i dont know what else to suggest. Where did you buy the phone? If off ebay u have a 14day guarantee so either sort it quick or reply quick in my advice.

thanks Westy for your advice. I just installed Active Sync as I have already have outlook on my PC... will try your advice on reinstalling both again.

I bought my phone in Hong Kong from a reputable electronics store. I only have 3 more days to exchange it if there is a problem.
