Guest sparks1061 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Hi I got that mail as well, But the application hasn't been certified by orange so won't run on the SPV, Sorry folks :D
Guest rcraswell Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Are we looking at different things? When I go to that page, I see a description that includes: System RequirementsDesktop PC running Microsoft¨ Windows¨ 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP with 2 MB available disk space. [*]CD-ROM drive. [*]Pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition device running Intel¨ StrongARM (SA-1110) processor. I didn't see a Smartphone version anywhere. --ron
Guest madu Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Agreed!! I guess we should let them know that there's a whole new market of SPV geeks that BADLY need that tool (since O/MS are lame enough to INclude help on the feature in the manual and in the phone itself - Shortcuts>Help, but EXclude the functionality for that). And we also need that app certified, btw...
Guest JaToAc Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 it's a shame that voicedialing is not included, shame on ms AND orange to release a phone without it... but let me tell you one thing, i have an ericsson t68 wich has voicedialing and i'm not making any use of it. it's build in but i don't use it. great feature but no need for me. never used voicedialing in any phone i had. is it a nokia, ericsson, panasonic, nec or whatever. it's a great tool for those who use it and it's a nice thing to have. one more thing, nokia 7650 picture for incomming call, that's one thing that i don't use too :D ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- call me freak if you like, but i know it better
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 As mentioned in a previous post, the SmartPhone 2002 OS is fully voice-dial aware, and pre-release SPVs had it. HTC / Orange chose to remove it from the release version for some unknown reason. As regards picture phonebook... maybe someone will release a third party app to do this in the new year :D P
Guest JaToAc Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 any details, seems tht you know more... :?:
