Guest BigRD Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 I've been scouring the net looking for a Wav or MP3 of the old BT ring ring bell. Anyone come across it?
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 There are some on this site, though I couldn't find them by searching just now :? So here's a couple I've collected :DOld Ringers.zip
Guest BigRD Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 Fantastic just what I was looking for. Thanks Disco Stu. I couldn't get the search function to work on the forums
Guest MPXtricky Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 I've been scouring the net looking for a Wav or MP3 of the old BT ring ring bell. Anyone come across it? This one *** here *** is the Bogs Dollocks and no mistake. Set the Script Value data string to:- apr in registry setting HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/Sounds/RingTone0. Reg setting survives a soft reset but reverts to a 3 second wait between rings if you use a different profile setting. Just watch those heads turn!
Guest MPXtricky Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 ...first two make the sound you used to hear when dialling someone else, and the third is 'Trimphone' American style. Retro ringtones aboundOtherRings.zip
Guest BigRD Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Thanks for all the fantastic response. If you don't mind I used the Ringer.wav and edited by adding itself to the end a few times and ended up as the attached file.LongerRinger.zip
Guest MPXtricky Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 that's cool, but after it's rung a few times you will get the annoying 3 second gap.... I would just love to have an app auto-set the registry script value for me each time the profile is changed... now there's an idea - anyone?
Guest pisquee Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 I originally recorded a long section of rings from the phone, and then used cool edit to shoose which of them sounded best and cut it down to the one ring - it looped perfectly, and so didn't need to be any more than one ring. Editing the xml of the profiles works better than hacking the regitry, as it remains when switching between different profiles.
Guest MPXtricky Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 gissa clue then mate - post the xml please
Guest pisquee Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Quoted from my original posting of the ringtone ... "This applies to E200 - not sure of difference with other Voyager models, original SPV, or other Smartphone devices. Connect your phone to your computer via active sync. Go to Explore your phone Storage>Application Data>Profiles In here you will find the xml files for your profiles. What you need to do is copy them to your PC to edit them. Open them up and you want to remove "w3" from the line a = audio (guess) v0 = vibrate w3 = wait 3 seconds r = repeat (guess) You could also get a registry editor, and edit Current User>Control Panel>Sounds>Ringtone0 and there is a script in there with the "av0pw3r" string in it to edit ... though i think that this gets reset if you change ringtone, or maybe even everytime you change profile. Hope this helps. "
Guest MPXtricky Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 ahhhhhhhhhh - I know about the registry hack and now the xml too - thanks!!!!!
Guest x2c4u Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 a = audio (guess) v0 = vibrate w3 = wait 3 seconds r = repeat (guess) the string is "av0pw3r" what does p stands for?
