Guest scottyucl Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 Hello I have just received through the post today my nice shiny new 256 SD card from Kingston Technology. I stuck it in the phone went to task manager to check that it was working and yes it is working BUT it is saying that it has 227.16MB in use when it is fresh from the packet. Does anyone know what is wrong or how i could sort this out? Is there a way of formatting the card through the phone? Any help would be great Cheers Scott
Guest squall Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 This is normal dont worry. There is a loss due to the type of file system onto the card.
Guest scottyucl Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 Do you mean to say that it is normal for me to buy a 256MB card i put it in my phone and i only have 15MB of the card to play with? I don't think thats right Scott
Guest squall Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 sorry miss read. 227 is narmally free - well it is on my card. do you have a card reader? if you do you can format the card via the pc. Alternitivly task manager from www.binarys.com lets you do it to.
