Hello everyone, yesterday I went out and got a brand new Orange SPV E200 from one of their stores. Now I love the phone, but I'm having trouble setting up e-mail on it, and Orange's site is useless to say the least. I looked in the handbook and it says I need to run "Email wiz" but It's not on my phone at all, not in the start menu, or the orange folder or anything and I'm a bit confused cuz I'm new to all this. Do I have to install it myself or has orange goofed or something?

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

I tried that link Stu - it's there and it does send me a message but nothing seems to change on my phone? :-(

When I go to Inbox now I still have MMS, SMS and ActiveSync. I don't have any Orange Email, or something similar? I can check my email (which is Orange in case that wasn't obvious) using the Orange Web site and IP, but I'd like for it to come up in my Inbox preferably.

Confused as usual...

I got mine working last week after trying the website method and then the wizard on the phone. And then the website method again after remembering my correct username

You'll get a 4th option - orange.net - when it's set up correctly.

Reboot your phone and try it again

I have a new E200 - with the ROM update. Don't have a email wizard installed.

I've set it up by hand using the instructions above and it's still not working. :-(

Thanks for the help all the same!!

Cheers

Okay, so now it appears to be connecting but it keeps popping up a screen asking me to put in my password - even though I already put it in to the original dialog box.

Any ideas?

That's 5 times it's popped up the "Email Log On" box now. Something is definitely not right...

Yup!!   I'm not that stupid!   ;-)

Got to check the obvious things first! The only other reasons i can think for a password box to keep popping up is if the server is down or if the password is wrong...

Yeah, I thought that. Just logged into Orange on my work PC here fine. I re-entered my default password. I'm trying again with no luck so far.

Does anyone else here have an orange.net email account and could post *exactly* all the right settings? I'm wondering if I have things like Domain or SSL set correctly, etc, etc.

Just got my e200 yesterday as my MPX200 was a pile of poo, am struggling with my email too. Will it accept Hotmail as the email account or does it have to be Orange/BT/wanadoo? No email wiz on my phone either and I can't get Blutooth set.....

Have set it all up (Orange.net E-Mail) and when I do Send/Receive it just says Connecting and thats it!

Welcome to the forum mate :)

I've had the same, but keep trying. It can take ages and ages for the Orange mainframe to log you in the first time. Change any settings and you're back to square one. Took me about a month the first time. No exaggeration.
