E200: Prob with Captured Video

Hi there everyone, just used my E200 to record a short video for the first time, and while it plays normally on the phone, when I copy it to my PC it can't be opened. I've tried WMP9, Winamp, Real 10 and BSplayer (which, incidentally, is the only one that gives me an error message as to why it failed: "Unknown format: MJPG" even though the file extension is .avi)

Analysing the files with GSpot comes up with "Bad Chunk in Frame Data", but otherwise GSpot claims they can be played by 2 Codecs installed on my PC.

Thinking they got corrupted during copying I tried copying them again (this is all via the USB cradle), but the error persisted. I tried switching off the "Convert when synchronise, copy or move" option in Activesync but that didn't make any difference either. (Turns out it wouldn't anyway cause when I looked at the "Coversion File Types" list in Activesync there wasn't an entry for .avi or any other kind of video file at all.)

I also tried recording another movie, saving it to my phone's main memory instead of the storage card, thinking it might be a problem with the card. Again it played fine on the phone but wouldn't open on the PC.

Is this a known issue, and does anyone know of a way to get round it?

Thanks!

Michael
