email gone from the server!

I have set up my spv to download the headers only from my email server assuming that the main email would stay on the server to download to my PC but after getting the header to my spv the email disappears fromthe server, am I missing something, please help since I have lost the content of some work related emails, not good!

You must have it set to remove from the server yeah?

I guess we ain't gonna get a response on this Paul, I have been messing around today and can't stop this happening, it renders autosynching of email useless if it wipes the server. I hope this is something that is resolved in further issues of the O.S.

i panic'd heavily, as i've been browsing a lot of emails out and about, but mine seem fine, is it a pop or mapi mailbox?

here is my solution,

go to outlook, go to tools in menu bar and choose option,

select the second categories which is Mail Setup,

Go to Email Accounts...

Choose View or change existing e-mail account and click next,

Select the "problem" account, and choose change...,

Then it should popup another windows which display all the settings,

goto more settings and again, another windows pops up,

then goto Advanced category, then should see Delivery,

under that, check the leave a copy of mesages on the server and voila...

p/s: u can also check the remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items' or else ur email would nv deleted from server... :D

It's not an issue with respect to outlook, I'm referring to downloading email to the SPV through the internet connection on the phone (whilst I'm 'on the road'). I only use 'activesync' to get a pc connection on the phone, I have 'opted' out of email synchronisation on 'activesync'.

I only want the headers downloaded to the phone whilst 'on the road' and I assumed the emails would be downloaded to outlook on my pc when I logged on at the office.

I will give this a try tommorrow, but, I only 'activesync' on this particular PC, I don't use it for email. I use a seperate PC for the email side and I don't even use 'outlook'..............

P.S. I never sychronise my email on the SPV with email on my PC.
