Accessing VM via numeric button 1 on SPV E200

I have an E200 on T-Mobile USA Network. How do I assign button 1 to VM. I know it used to work. But off late it has stopped working. I have tried to assign it via Speed Dial but I keep getting a "reserved button" message. Perhaps, I am not setting this in the right place. Can someone point me in the right direction.

TIA

Push Start/Settings/Phone/Call Options and scroll down to Voice Mail Number. Enter your Service Providers VM number here then press done.

Should work!

Sounds like there may be a corruption in the registry, normally this button is reserved with the information for vm

downloaded from your network.

a quick but messy solution is to assign the number to a different keypress, ie 3

Thanks. That is what I have done although I would prefer if I can fix my registry. Perhaps will try a hard reset after a couple of days.

Ok. Got this to work. I had to reset my phone using the Clear Storage utility. This reverted to Orange's default settings. But worked. The Registry must have gone bonkers.

Thanks for all you help
