Guest lanrover Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 I have an E200 on T-Mobile USA Network. How do I assign button 1 to VM. I know it used to work. But off late it has stopped working. I have tried to assign it via Speed Dial but I keep getting a "reserved button" message. Perhaps, I am not setting this in the right place. Can someone point me in the right direction. TIA
Guest HappyTat Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Push Start/Settings/Phone/Call Options and scroll down to Voice Mail Number. Enter your Service Providers VM number here then press done. Should work!
Guest lanrover Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 The VM number for my carrier is already present. Erased and tried but does not work. Thankns
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Sounds like there may be a corruption in the registry, normally this button is reserved with the information for vm downloaded from your network. a quick but messy solution is to assign the number to a different keypress, ie 3 PS Moved to Help and Advice
Guest lanrover Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 Thanks. That is what I have done although I would prefer if I can fix my registry. Perhaps will try a hard reset after a couple of days.
Guest lanrover Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 Ok. Got this to work. I had to reset my phone using the Clear Storage utility. This reverted to Orange's default settings. But worked. The Registry must have gone bonkers. Thanks for all you help
