Urgent Orange SPV E200 HELP Required !

Hi all,

I am in a bit of a pickle with my E200. This morning i installed the tweak pack (from a website called cabbage patch, or something similar). Ever since I installed the vbruntime files that came with the tweak I have come into some major problems.

First, I recieved warnings that my phone was running out of space. I decided to open smart explorer and try free some space up. Smart explorer had worked only 10 minutes before but all of a sudden a message appeared saying it was not certified. This seemed very odd to me.

Next, I tried to connect the phone to the pc via activesync (which has previously worked a few mins beforehand), nothing happened at all, it didn't even attempt to connect at all. Have tried it with two computers now and no result.

The last resort was to delete all of my songs to free up space, this worked (via media player). This freed up 14 megabytes.

However, the problem still persists. Active sync does not work at all now. I think it has been disabled somehow without my knowledge. The phone will not even shutdown properly :D

I have no idea what to do next. I can only assume my phone is buggered now. Has any1 got any suggestions or information which can shed light on this situation.

I would suggest you do a hard reset (just click on the words) - I'm 99% sure it's not a dead phone completely, just try a hard reset.

Go to Start>Accessories>Clear Storage.

You will lose all phone data such as text messages (these can be backed up but ActiveSync is required), photos etc.

I have just tried the hard reset, I can't get it to perform it. When it says hold the action key, i do and nothing happens it just goes straight to the tri colour screen.

The version it says on the tri colour screen is 1.06 doc

PS. The program ClearType will not work either, its says it is not digitally certified:(:D:(

Any suggestions ?

I eventually got the hard reset to work and it has thankfully done the trick. Thanx for your help m8, its much appreciated :D

I'm guessing your phone did a partial reset (including application re-locking) here.

This was probably caused by you installing too much onto the phone. Install everything you can onto the storage card ; pretty much all games & apps work fine from there and certainly all MP3 & vids

Yes my 4 button was knackered as well, get it repaired if in 12 mnths beware though it takes ages.

Dude - don't worry about installing tweaks! Everything on this forum is as kosher as anything gets, and if you have any problems there will always be help available here to get you out of it. The problem you had was to do with memory being full, not installing tweaks, and the custom cabbage site is completely 100% trustworthy (its Will & Midnight from this forum who operate it). Smartphones are made to be tweaked, so don't worry about doing it again in the future. Anyways - if it al goes Pete Tong, we're here to help! :wink:
