Guest jpclark Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 At night I leave my phone switched off but plugged in to charge. After a while it will vibrate three (?) times. I think this is when it is fully charged. Has anyone else noticed this and is there any way of stopping this happening? J
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 I have seen this before but have not found a definate reason to why this happens or how to prevent it. Does this happen to you a lot or is it more of an occasional occurance as it is on my phone.
Guest jpclark Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 I think it happens more often than not - though as it normally happens as I'm dropping off to sleep , so I can't really tell!! Also the Mrs has the same phone so I'm never sure if it's hers or mine!! I've only had it for a couple of weeks and I've noticed this at least 5 times Also another small issue I have is that when listening to wma's on the tube I get a popping sound every 30s - If I turn aeroplane mode on this stops but this is a bit manual.... Also if in signal the popping sound doesn't occur. I did have an SPV and this never popped while on the tube.. J
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 When traveling on the tube it's best to put the phone in aeroplane mode anyway, otherwise as it's contantly looking for a signal, the battery life will reduce.
Guest Belgarath Krall Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 always does this to me once it reaches full charge... as for the battery life dropping like a lead balloon in poor signal areas, I wish I didnt live at the bottom of a hill :D
Guest ozzturkgem Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 Mine is vibrating when it is fully charged. Yet, I noticed that I leave it in charge for one hour after vibrating, the battery life is higher than immediately open it. after vibrating.
Guest jpclark Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 Well it's obviously not just me then....! It only seems to happen if phone is off - so I'm now leaving it on in silent mode (or fully charging before going to bed) Does anyone have any idea if this functionality can be turned off? By a registry hack? Also as far as turning on aeroplane on underground - I never had to do this with my original SPV. I can do it with my MPX200 when I'm listening to music but I have to remember to switch the phone back on when I leave the tube (which I don't always) - anyone got any other suggestions to stop/workaround the popping noise Jonathan ps Otherwise the phone is great and a big improvement on the SPV
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 I was suggesting you turn the radio off on the underground to help improve your battery life, this is the same on all phones not just the MPX200.
