Location info

Just wondering if MPx200 can display location/cellular info.

My old nokia can show this on main screen under operator logo. You can see f.e. ZIP code of your location or just name.

Someone told me to activate to receive channel 50 ???

As standard the phone cannot show the transmitter info, with

the Nokia as you mentioned above you could enable the

engineers mode with teh correct peice of softwarecables.

Engineers mode was used to give tranmitter and network

details but most of it was usless information unless you knew

about mobile networks.

I think any Smartphone with the relevant homescreen plugin can give location info (eg. the name of the region/local dialling code)- however, most networks (including Orange) don't broadcast it, so it's not all that useful...

vodafone it can do this in other phone ( not only nokia) i can visualize the city only attivate it from a option menu

You could try Settings-Telephony-Channels.

I think this has something to do with the broadcast channels.
