Confused - New Imate Rom!

Ok I have an E200 with the "official" orange update on. I read people trialling new rom's on there E200's but when I try i get a 177 Invalid device error.

1) Can anyone tell me how to update to this new Rom? ( I have downloaded it already)

2) Is it worth it?

3) What happens to all "orange" software on the phone? Does it still work?

4) Is Orange MMS and Text messages effected?......

Anything I should consider before I do it? (As well as a sprite backup)

come on experts...help a newbie out
