Guest obingkong Posted September 12, 2004 Report Share Posted September 12, 2004 what happened was: 1. my camera went suddenly weird 2. thinking of having the cam checked at Smart, i tried to switch my ROM from Qtek 1.5 to Smart 1.7 3. failed on step 2, i tried flashing smart 1.3 instead with success. 4. tried flashing Smart 1.7, it succeeded but SAP wont boot to normal screen. 5. tried to reflash 1.7, but to no avail. prompted some incompatibility issues. 6. tried all other ROMS but to no avail. 7. stuck to Canary BL 1.09, i went to Smart 8. the only upgrade they had waas 1.8, no choice for me 9. now i'm stuck to 1.8, and i dont even have a smart/talkntect sim 10. tried flashing smart 1.7, sticks only to 10% on step 1 11. SAP only turns on to canary mode with BL 1.14 12. life is now miserable 13. i need help here, anyone? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest katan Posted October 2, 2004 Report Share Posted October 2, 2004 buti pa sa inyo ganyan lang nangyari... wasa using Qtek 1.5 before, i need to get it fixed sa BP kasi under warranty pa so i want to revert back to Smart ROM. can't find any procedures on how to upgrade to smart from Qtek. ...so i did my experiment. my mindset was either to successfully change ROM or end up with a dead phone. HAHAHA 8) i ended up with a dead phone instead... can't use my Sim anymore. so i'm paying for the line anyway. my SAP won't power on anymore, does'nt go to bootloader. question guys: is my phone really dead? may pag-asa pa kayang i-revive yun? kung sa BP kaya magkano gagastusin ko? i really need the phone kasi i'm working on Thesis, its a WAP-based app so i really need my SAP. Guest MHAR8 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Share Posted October 7, 2004 @katan tama si sir ronny.......nangyari sakin yan last sept 19........gusto ko lang sanang habulin yung warranty sa BP para mapalitan ng keypad and vessel yung SAP ko then try ko siyang ibalik sa smart rom then na dead.........pinalabas ko nalang bigla nalang syang namatay tapos di naman na detect ng BP yun nangyari.......after a week pinalitan nila ng motherboard yung sap ko...........so ngayon parang bago na ang sap ko........ Guest katan Posted October 8, 2004 Report Share Posted October 8, 2004 thanx for the reply guys!!! medyo nabuhayan ako dun, ah?!?!! ^_^ that really helps.... :D i think i should bring my unit na lang to a Smart Wireless Center then sila na bahala sa pagdala nun sa BP. now i am thinking... what would my reason be? i was planning to take this to SWC with this reason: "My ROM then was Smart 1.7.0.13 and i checked on the Smart's site and there was a new ROM for the Tanager which is the Smart ROM 1.8. i decided to upgrade my phone's ROM by my own and while i was doing so, biglang nag flicker yung electricity while installing the software. after that di na nag-on yung unit ko. kahit sa bootloader mode ayaw na rin" --what do you think of this reason guys... you think that guys from Smart would buy this?? natanong ko lang naman kasi baka pumalpak ako sa pagdahilan ko bayaran ko pa papalit ng motherboard. thanks ulit guys!!! @ronny BIG HELP!!!! thanx!!! @MHAR8 thanx for the tip. any idea on how much the motherboard costs?? salamats sa NOYPI Modaco members!!!! Guest katan Posted October 9, 2004 Report Share Posted October 9, 2004 salamats sayo ronny! basta, bigla na lang nag-hang SAP ko then ayaw na mag-on... dati na-experience ko na nag hang tapos nag HardReset mag-isa... pero this is worst! ayaw na mag-on! ano nga pala BL ng Smart ROM 1.7.0.13? di ko na maalala, eh! sa Qtek 1.5.0.9 kasi 1.14m (di ko na din maalala)... almost 1 month na dead SAP ko, eh! thanx! Guest katan Posted October 14, 2004 Report Share Posted October 14, 2004 yun lang.... i was having problems talaga sa phone since nung nabagsak ko na tumalsik yung MMC ko na di ko napansin na nawala pala... pag may card sa slot kahit dummy lang pag press ko ng action button di ako nakakapasok sa diagnostic mode... nagha-hang na, blank white screen na lang lagi... yun lang...
