Hello all, I forgot where, but I found a ROM file with version 2.6.5.3 from Orange. Has anyone heard of that version being out? Nonetheless, I gave it a shot, and it works nicely. Just wondering if anyone had any info though... :D

This looks like the same as the Swiss Orange ROM 2.6.5.3. It is quite old, but it gives you the dreaded 1.07.02 bootloader. You will need florin's fixed.exe to change to any other ROM after u flash this ROM.

Error 100: Incompatible Image

The ROM image that you are trying to use is not designed to work on you SPV E200.

Any ideas chaps and chapetts? :D

I followed these instructions posted elsewhere in this forum -

if your phone is E200 (doesn't matter which rom are you using, mine is qtek v1.7.10.4), first you have to use orange rom update(v2.6.X.X), downloadable from orange site, then

1. Extract both update programs. (the easiest way is to use Winrar)

2. Overwrite the extracted orange "NK.nbf" file with the Qtek one.

3. INSERT a SD Card in the phone's SD slot. "IMPORTANT"

4. Stop wcescomm.exe in background.

5. Boot into Bootloader, should be v1.05 or 1.06, then plug the phone in the cradle.

6. Run VoUpgradeUT.exe in the orange extracted files. then it's done (for new E200s with 1.07 bootloader, copy the embedded "fixed VoUpgrade for bt 1.07 by Florin.exe" to orange extracted folder, then run the fixed VoUpgrade for there.

Phone flashed without a problem. :D

I've tried that just now (booting it into the strippy colour boot loader) but it doesn't seem to be working. Any more ideas?

I've got it to work with other roms this way. Just not this one

I think I also tried using the original loader that came with the flash when it was in boot mode... might be worth a shot.

I'll back up my phone and try to repro the issue again tonight or sometime tomorrow. Will get back to you on that one.

how about getting the QTEK Greek ROM and then copying the NK.nbf file into the Greek ROM folder. then install from here. THis way it worked fine on my X-phone (flashed to orange, qtek_greek, qtek_latest).

maybe works maybe not.

Anyone actually got this working on an E200?

Tried and tried today following the instructions....same error 100 message.

Yes, I got it working before. Let me tell you, it is a waste of time. The OS, etc. versions are quite old... compared to the latest ROMs by Qtek and iMate. If you really want to try out a new ROM, the best now is the iMate one. Of course, you wont have any Orange customizations... but for me I would prefer decent battery life and bluetooth performance over Orange customizations anytime.
