Guest martin Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Have you tried using the developers site to unlock the MPX200 - click OTA for links. Note: On the developers site if you get IMEI not found screen then load the registry application program on section 2. I'm not sure if alphaflux works with the newer Orange MPX200 phones :?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Nope the newer MPX200 have the loophole closed that enabled the app to work, the Orange developers site is the only way now to decert your phone. PS Welcome to the site :D
Guest exsanguinator Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Thanks for that, fille din the details on the site! Any idea how long it takes for them to do it? many thanks Exsanguinator
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Usually you get the confirmation screen within 5 minutes but don't be surprised if it takes an hour or so. Sometimes it takes a couple of goes to get it right. Did you connect to GPRS before you ran the OTA ? Loading up the Orange World homescreen is sufficient.
Guest exsanguinator Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 sorry to be a pain, phone made data call 20 mins ago so i am hoping it was done. tried to install an app and same problem occurs! Am i missing something?!?! cheers Nat
Guest exsanguinator Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 do you have to become a registered member of the developers forum before they will send you the decert codes?
Guest martin Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 do you have to become a registered member of the developers forum before they will send you the decert codes? When you fill in your details it should tell you that a message will be sent. If it does then everything is OK. In a short time It will send a command to the phone to auto connect to a website for unlocking. BTW I usually change the idle disconnect time to 5 or 10 minutes in Settings-Data connections, Menu-Options. (one minute wait is sometimes not long enough for the unlock process).
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Sometimes it can take overnight to get the unlock message.
Guest exsanguinator Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 sorry to be a pain guys but I have waited 2 days now and after numerous attempts still no thing from orange and the alphaflux patch doesnt work is ther any other way???
Guest martin Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 I've just tried unlocking my phone now using OTA and it worked OK. Came through in approx 10 seconds. exsanguinator What are you using for your Internet connection (what is your GPRS Access point) ? Have you also tried using the pass through connection ?
Guest exsanguinator Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Hi there martin - I must be thick cause it still wont work - I think my problem is the webpage ?!?!
