Startup/Shutdown sounds

Hey guys,

i've tried to get rid of the start up and shutdown sounds on the mpx200 by deleting the key in the registry but it still does not work.

can anyone provide any instruction on how i can do this?

You need to go to

HKEY_CURRENT_USERControlPanelPowerOnWave

Then Values select On and change the value to 0

can you use the same key to change them to something else cos i cant find it in the sounds etc settings

Nope unfortunately not.

You can add a second sound on startup though, have a look

in the tweaks post in articles section for more info on this.

On the MPX200 the initial boot sound is on the ROM image and not the OS.
