Volume (speaker and headphone) suddenly becomes very low...

Hi, apologize if this has been asked before but my ‘search’ efforts did not find anything relevant yet.

Just wondering if any of you guys experienced similar issues with your SP2002 or SP2003 (I have the issue with both).

It goes like this: I turn on the phone (restart) and audio level is great (loud on both the speakers and when headphones are connected) during audio playback (mp3, wav, alerts, rings etc’). After a while (minutes, hours) suddenly with no prior warning/error when a sound file plays (any) the volume sounds faint. When I check the level it shows 100% but it’s definitely only 30% or more of the original volume in terms of the way it sounds.

If I restart the phone (off/on) it goes back to the loud default.

Besides the fact that it’s quite annoying I also find it counter productive when I use the phone’s alarm function (not waking up because during the night this issue appeared).

Anyone seen it before? Or even better identified what cause the problem?

I used an SPV E100, MPX200 and now i-mate sp2 and they all had/have this problem.

Member beersoft noticed this happens when you recieve a text while playing a sound file.

Its a strange one, and unless there is a volume control not fully up im not sure of a soultion.

i even foxed orange with that one :D

fingers crossed they have reported it as a bug to the developement people and they can fix it in an update

later
