Streaming MP3 Problem

I am trying to play an MP3 stream stored on my home server using Media Player (on my phone, E200). Is this possible?

I am using an app called SlimServer (http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html) that streams audio files to media player using an mp3 stream.

I put in the URL (http://www.xxxxxx.com:9000/xxx.mp3) and media player instantly comes back with 'Error: The file connot be found etc.'. It doesn't even attempt to connect using GPRS. I can play the virgin radio stream no problem, so its not the setup of my phone.

Anyone got any ideas? I assume Media Player just cant open MP3 files using the 'Open URL' dialog or something.
