I can get the internet to work but when I try to send MMS's the phone doesn't send it. It looks like it is trying to connect, and after a short bit the send icon turns in to the "waiting to be sent" icon. I have a feeling something isn't set up right. Unfortunately the MMS settings look like they need to be set up in two places and all the forum searches I looked at and tried still don't work. I have the english MMS app also. If anyone could help much thanks would be in order.

English....must be nice. :-) I use TMobile and have it set up as follows:

First, the data connections:

Under GPRS Connections I have "WAP" which is:

Connects to: The Internet

Access Point: wap.voicestream.com

Primary DNS: 216.155.165.50

Secondary DNS: 216.155.165.51

Then in the main Data Connections screen, I point WAP Connection to the "WAP" outlined above.

In Settings, I created a profile called "TMobile" and set it up as follows:

MMSC URL: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms

WAP Gateway: 216.155.165.50

and then under Preferences, I set the last item on the bottom to "WAP Network" (not MMS network).

My MMS app is in Chinese so my description is kind of vague, but it worked for me. I guess the main thing is that I didn't bother defining an "MMS Network" connection and just pointed it straight to a WAP connection. Perhaps the "MMS Connection" only matters for receive since that's one thing I haven't gotten working yet.

I have that same set up but it's still not working. I do have one question though. On the data connection screen the last option is for a mms connection. Do you have that set for automatic or to another set up? I really appriciate the help. I really like smartphones but all the set up is a pain in the neck.

I have it set to automatic since nothing seems to use it. Also, I've only sent messages to email addresses, if it makes any difference.

Got it working, thanks for the help. It turns out that when you type in the MMSC URL it has to be exact. I had an extra backslash and for some reason after I deleted it the mms started working. Thanks again.
