Question about Upgrading Firmware on MPX200

I just bought my second MPX200 after giving my old one to my wife. I just got it from AT&T and will unlock it so I can use it on T-Mobile. I had a question about the firmware. I was looking on ebay and saw refereneces to an "improved" firmware flash.

Is there any reason to use this flash if I am not planning on travelling overseas? Also, is there a way to back up the flash on the device?

There is not a way to back up the ROM on your phone and as for the

firmware update, no one should be selling it as it has been leakedstolen

from motorola and is actually a downgrade as it uses an earlier rom

image. Personally I would not suggest you use it as you will lose any warranty you have but there is a lot of ppl that say it improves the phone

but I do not know of any actual tests to provedisprove this.
