Can't get reception after uninstalling the longhorn theme

can som1 help how to get my service provider (orange) on spv e200...after i uninstalled the longhorn theme i lost the network and there is no reception....i installed the update again but at no prevail...som1 help

Goto Settings-Telephony-Networks

Menu-Select a network

Does it find Orange ?

unfortunatly it doesnt find the network...in home screen it says (Denied, searching)...

Check Settings-Telephony-Band selection and make sure thats it's set to GSM and not PCS.

If this is my theme you are referring to....its nothing to do with it.

I wish people would stop blaming their cockups on my bloody theme!

p.s if it aint and you've already hardreset/re-flashed the rom...i think its time to send ur phone back to orange :wink:

i agree! homescreens has nothing to do with hardware fault...

maybe it really needs consultation from service center... :D

I have a similar loss-of-signal problem too, but I'm 100% sure its not because of the theme. Anyway, my sim-unlocked Tanager from Smart Philippines does not log on to any network upon turning on. I've been using the phone (with Qtek 7070 ROM) for over a year now (with a Globe SIM card that works on other phones) with no problems, then suddenly this.

I tried searching for networks and selecting new networks, but nothing works. It just says "Network Denied, Searching" or "No Service." Even if I try the SIM card from Smart, the phone still won't log on.

However, if I leave it alone for 10 minutes, it does log on to the network. For a very short while, I could send a text and even make a short call. Then the phone appears to still be connected to the network, but if you send it a text message, nothing comes in. And if you try to call it, you get "subscriber cannot be reached." Switching the phone on and off won't solve any problems - the phone still says "Network Denied, Searching" or "No Service."

I brought it to Brightpoint (authorised service center). They tried a Hard Reset. Nothing. They tried upgrading the Qtek ROM to the latest from the Smart Network (version 1.7). Phone still won't log on to any network. Still displays "Network Denied, Searching" or "No Service." Finally they said the main circuit board needs to be changed, and that would cost me roughly US$300. Whoa!

Would moving to Orange's 1.6 ROM solve the problem? Or do I need a new Tanager?
