Guest the loc-man Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 Hi it looks like I am going to upgrade to the E200 as the new phones coming will be too expensive intially. What I want to know is which BT headsets work with the E200 as I am upgrading this weekend and will be buying a BT headset at the same time or even sooner this week of the net in preperation. I have heard the BT on the E200 is a bit finicky - is this so? in what way? I may try and get a free BT headset when I get the E200 so which is the best one to get in the O shop? which ones work? I have seen a mini BT HS in The Link, this looks nice and small, does it work? whats it like? Also can get the Bodyglove BT HS for cheapish does this work? Is it right that I have to make sure the BT HS supports headset profile and not hands free for it to work - yes? Also I have read that you can get a bit of software for voice dialling, has any1 tried this, whats it like? I would be interested in thsi as well So what works, what doesnt(and why?) and what is recommended thanks a lot LOC
Guest the loc-man Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 oh dear so no-one has a BT headset with the e200? or none works this is bad....come on guys please help me
Guest BigRD Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 If it's not too late I have a Bluetrek G2 and it works fine in Headset Profile.
Guest the loc-man Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 no its not too late, not buying till this weekend 3rd july. how much and from where please, any comments on it. fit, comort, voice quality, battery life etc etc please URLs etc cheers
Guest BigRD Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 I bought it from www.mobilefun.co.uk and paid £39.95 + £2.50 P&P. I find it comfortable on either ear, the loop is adjustable by bending into shape. The voice quality is very good although it's the only one I've tried so can't compare but it's as clear as the wired hands free. So far I've charged it twice since I bought it 2 weeks ago pretty good on that score. HTH
Guest the loc-man Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 thank you BigRD seems you are the only person with a E200 and a BT HS, how much do you use it, 1 charge a week sound great. Have you tried any voice dialling with it? how is the E200 with the BT switched on? cheers
Guest BigRD Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 Pretty minimal use so far maybe once per day. The E200 is fine but I put in the dock every night anyway. I've tried one voice dialling software - VoiceDialler but think it's poor although I didn't persevere for long.
Guest fahlis Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 I can second that the bluetrek G2 HS is a good one, have used it for 3weeks now, and IMO it works a treat, didn´t know about that voice dialing software though, where can I download that? thx/fahlis
Guest lanrover Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 I have been using HBH-60 from Sony Ericsson. The BT headset is working well but off late I have been trying to save the life in my phone and Ihave stopped using it. I am not sure if it is my SD or the headset. I seem to be getting more life out of my phone between charges. The headset is great though.
Guest pd.ryder Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 The Motorala HS810 is worth a look, but a bit more expensive at £60 or so. Try the Phones4U group, they were very good with me and put up with my swapping BT HS 3 times until I found a good 'un!! It has rarely let me down, but will sometimes refuse to connect when answering a call. Like I said, it's worth a look.
