Guest mcwarre Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Boo-hoo, Tiger Timmy Henman has lost at Wimbledon again. Question is who gives a damn. I certainly don't!!
Guest Palindrome Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Do I give a damn that Henman lost? Well, a little. I have no personal connection with him so I'm not gonna cry myself to sleep because the man didn't achieve his goals but I'd like to see an Englishman win Wimbledon (or at least get to the final). Whether that is Henman or not doesn't really matter to me. I tend to support the country rather than the person.
Guest midnight Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 some of you obviously do care or you wouldnt be posting :D i dont like tennis, but i like to see Tim win i dont like Formula 1 (used to, now its just boring) but i wanna see Jenson win i dont like the Olympics, but i hope we do well why? cos i'm English and proud :D
Guest Pondrew Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Well said Midnight (apart from the F1 boring thing!) :D
Guest midnight Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 it seems i'm not the only one who thinks F1 has become boring :D
Guest mcwarre Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 I agree; what a pathetic 'sport' when they get really excited about the number of pit stops someone makes and that they have overtaken 'in the pits'; all this is discussed because there is nothing else happening! Let's face it, a Superbike race has more overtaking / action in one lap than F1 does in a whole season.............
Guest mike-oh Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 Equip the cars with missles and plasma cannons ala Deatkarz. That i would watch!!
Guest skinheadjc Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 As for tim, he's rubbish when will the british public realise that he'll never win. He's just NOT GOOD ENOUGH! As for F1, the track around london sounds a good idea. Especially with mislies, 10 points for an old lady, 20 for Nokia users and 100 for Tony Blair!
Guest mcwarre Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 100 for Tony Blair! Thats a bit off, isn't it? He must be worth at least 6800 points. That's 100 for every British Serviceman killed in Iraq..............................
Guest midnight Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 errr, Tim Henman is ranked no.5 in the world, i'd hardly call that rubbish, so he hasnt won Wimbledon, so what? he's won every other major singles title. Superbikes???? hmmm, less interest this year to be honest, was good when Foggy was racing, lost its appeal somewhat now, Moto GP though, thats another matter, that just rocks :D
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 F1: Start half the cars facing one way, the other half the other. Then play last man standing (driving). :D

I agree that he is not rubbish; far from it. However he has never won a major (Grand Slam) title. His singles titles are: 1997 Sydney Outdoor Tashkent 1998 Basel Tashkent 2000 Brighton Vienna 2001 Basel Copenhagen 2002 Adelaide 2002 Paris TMS Washington Not being pedantic just getting facts straight
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 F1: Start half the cars facing one way, the other half the other. Then play last man standing (driving). :D Why not a "Success Ballast" system like BTCC ?
