Phone in holster answers calls when removing it

I think this is a known issue... I have not set the phone to "any key to answer" but whenever the phone rings and I go to take the phone out of the case, it answers (keylock is on). Sometimes it has answered when I have been walking around, simply due to vibration and movement causing the phone to momentarily make stronger contact with the case.

This can definitely be embarrasing...

Anyone know if there is a patch or program out there which disables the joystick or other keys from answering calls?

My preference would be that only the normal 2 key sequence (left soft key plus #) would answer calls

Cheers

Welcome to the Site mate :D

Unfortunately there is no fix for this bug.... But here is hoping to a fix in the next ROM update.

I HATE this bug! This DOES cause embarrasing calls being answered... Nobody knows of a registry hack or something to help fix this???

i have given up using the case. for me i just put the phone in my pocket, even if it's a bit bulky. this avoids any hard contact wityh any of the buttons.

another solution would be to use a soft belt pouch. am trying to find one.

100% agreed, Guys !

Since I upgraded my Qtek to the i-mate ROM I am pretty satisfied (Battery Power now significantly better and - I would say - acceptable), all other functions ok as well.

Except for this terrible auto-answer bug !!!

This bug is so obvious and so annoying at the same time that I still wonder why it at all was left in any firmware release version.

This bug MUST be removed in the next version, which should hopefully be issued very soon.
