Guest Marverick Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Guyz again kinda of a silly question from me, i am not a techo or mobile whiz kid :cry: :cry: :cry: I was trying to connect to the Internet using a dial-up account of a normal ISP, but all the time i get a message from Mio 8890 "unable to place call" and never established the connections! can any of you guyz tell me how to get connected to a normal ISP (Not GPRS) using a normal dial-up account (like in windows)! Pls help me! Thanks and you guyz are the BEST!!!!! :D :D
Guest Taoski Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I don't think you can - unless you are using the phone as a modem from a laptop for example. Otherwise we would all be dialling into our free ISPs to jump onto the net.
Guest nedge2k Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 You can...i had no problem setting up the phone to dial up an 0800 isp with some settings i...er...aquired :D Only prob is that yes 0800 is free (UK Orange Contract)...but 0800 data calls arent :lol: Make sure you have the right phone number, you've set internet explorer to connect to the right thing etc. JUST FIDDLE!! :D
