SD card problems help greatly received

Hi i got my spv e200 about 2 weeks ago i had a 32mb sd card from my digital camera which i used but obviously filled rather quickly, i bought a kingston 256mb sd card which works fine in my camera but my phone will only read from it, if i try to copy files using active sync it tells me that i have insufficient memory, or that the source is read only.............

any ideas or help greatly received

There's much written within these pages about effin' SD cards. We all have problems with them. You've no doubt got a multi-layer cell card which your camera doesn't mind but the E200 doesn't like. Most reports suggest you should get it swapped for a single-layer cell. Recent posts suggest a trip to web supplier "offtec" who'll do you a 256Mb SD for £47 inc vat - and it's single-layer. Give 'em a try....

You could also try formatting the card with a USB card reader

or using Task Manager from www.binarys.com

hi guys thanks for the advice so far but i have now rectified the problem by swapping the kingston sd card with a friend for a sandisk one that he had, all is well and working properly..........now just to get my gps bluetooth sorted and we are laughing
