Replacing Orange E200 2.6.1.3 ROM with a generic ROM

Hi,

Is it possible to replace the ROM say to 2003 SE on an E200 from Orange. I am told that I cannot as the ROM is operator locked (Orange locked).

Is this true ?

If an upgrade i released then it will be possible but whether it will be released is another matter...

Remember SE at the moment is on Pocket PC and not the

Smartphone format.

well so far there are no PPC updates to SE released either. Its not really worth worrying about to be honist, if orange bring out an upgrade to se id use it, but i wouldnt risk damage to my phone just to get the latest os, when there arent really any benifits to me :D
