Guest madmaxedcn Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 I HAVE A ATT MOTOROLA MPX200 HOW DO I GET THE IMEI#?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 No need to shout :D As you are on AT&T your phone will not be application locked so you do not need to run the unlock cab. As for seeing an xml document that is because you have unzipped the cab file, (cab files do not need to be unzipped just place them in the phon in IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessories then run them from Accessories on the phone.)
Guest oallostavros Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Okay, I'm a bit confused. I have an ATT locked mpx 200 that I am trying to unlock. When I turn the phone on (with a SIM card that is not ATT), a page comes up that asks me to enter the unlock code. If I try to get away from that page without entering a code, it doesn't let me. So how am I supposed to type in *#06# to get the IMEI number? I tried taking out my non ATT SIM card to see if I could atleast access the applications, but again, it takes me to a screen that I can't close. This one says "SIM failure - Insert SIM - Emergency calls only". Is there a way I can atleast access the applications on this phone w/o unlocking it? Also, does anyone know what/where the action button is so I can try a hard reset (for kicks)? Thanks. FYI *#06# shows the IMEI number...
Guest nCoder Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 The action button is the blue button in the middle of the direction pad. The IMEI number should be printed on the silver label under the battery.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 oallostavros this original post was for application unlocking not SIM unlocking. To SIM unlock you need to go to http://www.imei-check.co.uk/ Until you unlock the phone you will only be able to use AT&T SIM cards.
