Original SPV won't start up.... [more serious problems]

I think i've done something dreadful, though I'm not exactly sure what it is. My phone was in its cradle, and when i looked at it it simply said "card found" then went onto the screen saying press any key to enter the bootloader. it was as if i had just done a hard-reset, which i hadn't. i tried turning it off and back on, and the same happened, i tried taking the battery out and back in, and the same happened. its as if someone is holding down the keys to initiate a hard-reset, which they're not.

what's going on?!

Looks like you have a stuck record button. Try pressing it a few times, hopefully unstick it. If not you could contact O. Last resort is to take cover off and poke about.
