Guest hennapod Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 I have just got a new SPV E200. My old phone is an SPV. Obviously I can ActiveSync contacts but is it possible to transfer all my SMS messages from my old SPV to my new E200? I really don't want to lose them! Thanks for any help.
Guest skinheadjc Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 Why don't you use the SIM Manager in Accessories, tranfer them to your sim from your SPV and then from the SIM to the SPV E200.
Guest hennapod Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 I didn't think that moved SMS on to your SIM? I have about 250 messages that I want to move which is more than a SIM can hold. Would SIM Manager just move the first 99?
Guest zeta101 Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 You can get the jeyo mobile companion on a free trial (it lasts 2 weeks i think) go to www.jeyo.com. Whne you connect your phone and you can see your sms in the jeyo program (this is an app for your pc) go to FILE then select export and you will be able to export all your sms to a backup file that will be stored on your pc. Now im GUESSING there shouldnt be any problem in connecting your new e200 loading up jeyo and then just using the import function from the file menu. In principle it should work, but you never know. I also think its possible to do it copying a file from your phone (which is what i think the jeyo prog actually does) and then recopying it back to your new e200, someone else might be able to tell 100% if this works if they have already tried it, as im sure there are others who wanted to do the same at some point. Good luck and welcome to the forum!
